I’ve been working on protecting Langstone Mill Pond, the neighbouring footpath access route and related issues in the surrounding area for much of 2023.
Inspired by Her Late Majesty’s Queen’s Green Canopy project, I have launched a new campaign across the Havant Constituency to get more trees planted in our area. This will improve our local environment and quality of life.

A campaign for a new Emsworth GP Surgery led by local MP Alan Mak has proved successful after the green light was given for construction to begin at the site of the Victoria Cottage Hospital (EVCH).
In December 2016, the Guardian newspaper listed Alan as 1 of 5 "unsung MPs quietly making Britain better" in recognition of his campaigning work against child hunger & poverty and his support for school breakfast clubs. A copy of the article in the Guardian can be downloaded below.
Photo: Alan has visited every secondary school and college in the Havant constituency to meet the head, staff and students to discuss ways he can help them.
The hugely popular Havant Older Persons Information Fair will take place this summer on a much bigger scale at a The Beacon at the Meridian Centre in Havant. This year the Havant Community Groups and Older Persons Information Fair will bring all members of the community together.
Residents can speak to Alan on a private, one-to-one basis regarding any personal issues. Each meeting lasts for 15 minutes, and are by appointment only.
Should you wish to arrange a surgery, please contact Alan using the form on this page.
