I'm visible and active in Purbrook all year round. My work for Purbrook residents, locally and in Westminster, includes:

• Voting for March’s Budget which cuts tax for workers, protects the State Pension Triple Lock, freezes fuel and alcohol duty, expands Child Benefit, and invests in our NHS. Combined with January’s National Insurance tax cut, the Budget puts £900 back into the pocket of the average worker.

• Boosting funding for Hampshire Police to roll-out a new Named Local Bobby Scheme, which means all Purbrook residents now have a named police officer covering their street, and access to their e-mail and mobile number. Purbrook’s police are more contactable than ever before.

• Successfully securing £58million for a new Emergency Department at Queen Alexandra Hospital, which serves everyone in Purbrook. It’s due to open this winter.

•  Increasing cash funding for all our local primary and secondary schools, which I visit and stay in touch with regularly.

•  Welcoming a £218,000 Government-backed tennis court refurbishment project which includes a major upgrade of the Purbrook Heath courts, improving facilities for Purbrook residents.

•  Supporting and promoting small businesses across Purbrook, including the Village Bakery (where I’m a regular customer) and 1st Quay Fish & Chips (who I promoted on Small Business Saturday), both on London Road.

• Extending the £2 single bus fare cap until the end of 2024, making bus travel cheaper for Purbrook residents.

• Securing £300,000 of Government money for a coastal defence scheme which protects Purbrook near the A27. The coastal wall has been replaced and the shared cycle/footpath which runs on top is now protected from erosion so Purbrook residents can use it safely.

• Launching my Tree Planting Challenge, supported by the Woodland Trust, to plant more trees to improve our environment. Over 150 new trees have been planted, with more to come!
