I’m visible and active in our community all year round. My work for you locally and in Westminster includes:

•              Voting for March’s Budget which cuts tax for workers, protects the State Pension Triple Lock, freezes fuel and alcohol duty, expands Child Benefit, and invests in our NHS. Combined with January’s National Insurance tax cut, the Budget puts £900 back into the pocket of the average worker.

•              Boosting funding for Hampshire Police to roll-out a new Named Local Bobby Scheme, which means all residents in Havant, Langstone, Denvilles and Warblington now have a named police officer covering their street, and access to their e-mail and mobile number. Your police are more contactable than ever before.

•              Successfully securing £58 million for a new Emergency Department at Queen Alexandra Hospital, which serves everyone in our community. It’s due to open this winter.

•              Stopping the proposed closure of Havant Station’s ticket office, so residents can still buy tickets and obtain information face-to-face from staff.

•              Extending the £2 single bus fare cap until the end of 2024, making bus travel cheaper for residents.

•             Ensuring Langstone Mill Pond and the coastal access footpath are protected by securing permission from Natural England for protective works. Local decision-makers are now working on finalising plans for the works.

•              Successfully pressuring Southern Water to reduce discharges by investing £4.5 million in new stormwater storage tanks, and publishing an action plan to totally end discharges.

•              Organising my popular annual Jobs & Apprenticeships Fair at Havant Leisure Centre, which helps residents looking for work and careers advice.

•              Launching my Tree Planting Challenge, supported by the Woodland Trust, to plant more trees to improve our environment. Over 150 new trees have been planted, with more to come!
