I'm visible and active in Bedhampton all year round. Some recent successes I've secured for Bedhampton residents  include:

  • Voting for March’s Budget which cuts tax for workers, protects the State Pension Triple Lock, freezes fuel and alcohol duty, expands Child Benefit, and invests in our NHS. Combined with January’s National Insurance tax cut, the Budget puts £900 back into the pocket of the average worker.

  • Boosting funding for Hampshire Police to roll-out a new Named Local Bobby Scheme, which means all Bedhampton residents now have a named police officer covering their street, and access to their e-mail and mobile number. Bedhampton’s police are more contactable than ever before.

  •  Successfully securing £58 million for a new Emergency Department at Queen Alexandra Hospital, which serves everyone in Bedhampton. It’s due to open this winter.

  • Securing £300,000 of Government money for a coastal defence scheme at Broadmarsh Coastal Park which protects Bedhampton near the A27 and Chaldock Lake. The coastal wall has been replaced and the shared cycle/footpath which runs on top is now protected from erosion so Bedhampton residents can use it safely.

  • Extending the £2 single bus fare cap until the end of 2024, making travel cheaper for Bedhampton residents and visitors.

  • Serving as a Vice President of Bedhampton’s Manor Trust, a local charity that provides accommodation for older people and promotes Old Bedhampton’s heritage.

  • Supporting Havant Rugby Club in Bedhampton as their Vice-President, and attending local community events including the Bedhampton Show.

  • Organising my annual Community Information Fair for the last 8 years, which helps Bedhampton residents find out about local activities and services available to them.

  • Launching my Tree Planting Challenge, supported by the Woodland Trust, which has encouraged Bedhampton residents to plant more trees to improve our environment.
