Local MP Alan Mak has visited Havant Academy in Leigh Park to talk to students.
He was greeted by Associate Assistant Headteacher Naila Choudhry and then took part in a question and answer session on a variety of local and national issues. He has visited the school many times in the past.
One group of Year 11 students at the school have been completing a Citizenship In Action project where they have examined the forthcoming social media ban for under-16s, while another group have been looking at attitudes to immigration.
Mr Mak said: "I enjoyed visiting Havant Academy again to meet the students and discuss a range of issues.
"I believe it's important for them to be able to talk to me as their MP as part of their project and it was interesting to hear what they thought about the topics that came up."
He added: "I want as many people as possible in the Havant Constituency to be engaged in the political process and to learn more about what Parliament is and what it does.
"That's why I also organise regular tours of Parliament, where residents from the Havant Constituency can find out all about the Palace of Westminster's long history before joining me for a Q&A session."
