Local MP Alan Mak has met local church leaders from across the Havant Constituency and thanked them for their work in the community.
The meeting in Emsworth, organised by the Evangelical Alliance, included representatives from Emsworth Baptist Church, Beacon Church in Havant, Church of the Good Shepherd in Crookhorn and The Bridge Church on Hayling.
Mr Mak praised the churches for playing an important role in their communities, providing support such as food banks to help those in need.
He said they also acted as a valuable focal point for residents of all ages, providing activities ranging from holiday clubs to coffee mornings and lunch clubs.
Mr Mak added: "This was a chance to thank local church leaders, listen to their views and pledge my continued support.
"As a Christian, I'm keen to help churches and their members in the community. Church leaders and volunteers do great work helping residents, organising events and contributing to local life."
