Local MP Alan Mak has visited the Hayling Island u3a Open Day.
He was met by organiser Julie Taylor at Hayling Island Community Centre and then toured the various stalls and chatted to members.
The Open Day showcased the wide variety of activities that are available.
Outside, visitors could have a go at petanque, walking netball, croquet and lawn bowls.
Meanwhile, indoors they could also try their hand at card-making, art and creative writing, plus play Rummikub and Scrabble and experience chair yoga. There was also the opportunity to join discussions on current affairs and philosophy.
Visitors could take advantage of free bike safety checks, while Sarah Shaw gave a talk about training guide dog puppies and brought her current puppy for people to meet.
Musical entertainment was provided by the D’ukes of Hayling and the Island Shanties.
The u3a is one of the largest membership organisations in the UK and enables mainly retired members of the community to come together to learn new skills and have fun.
Mr Mak said: "I enjoyed visiting the Open Day, meeting members and finding out about all the activities that are on offer.
