Local MP Alan Mak has shown his support for new clothing alterations shop Fit & Stitch in Havant.
He visited the premises in Park Road South and talked to owner Verity Horton, who says having her own shop is the realisation of a dream she's had ever since leaving school.
Verity has 12 years of industry experience and her business specialises in everything from sewing on buttons and adjusting hems to full men's tailoring, wedding dress alterations, prom gowns and cushions and curtains.
She's been running the business from home, but has now decided the time is right to give Fit & Stitch a physical presence in Havant.
Mr Mak called in to see Verity and fellow seamstress Iryna Humennikova ahead of the shop opening on 23 May.
He said: "It was great to visit Fit & Stitch and meet Verity, who is so passionate about her business.
"I'm a big supporter of small, independent businesses across the Havant Constituency and wish her all the best for the future."
