Local MP Alan Mak has congratulated Havant homecare provider Right At Home on its 10th anniversary.
He visited the company's head office at The Oakwood Centre in Havant, where he met owner Duncan Cameron and chatted with members of staff.
Right At Home Havant & Petersfield delivers companionship and personal care plus specialist care, particularly for those living with dementia, in Havant, Emsworth, Hayling Island, Waterlooville and Petersfield, including Liphook and Liss.
It has received an 'Outstanding' rating from the Care Quality Commission.
After Duncan launched the company, he was soon joined by Nickki Haggar. From the early days of them operating from a tiny office at Langstone Technology Park, the business has now grown into a team of 60 staff supporting nearly 150 clients.
Duncan has also thrown himself into organising and taking part in local events alongside clients. These have ranged from dementia-friendly gardening groups and choirs to walking football, lawn bowls and supporting local festivals.
The Right At Home team has also raised thousands of pounds for the Alzheimer’s Society through activities such as sponsored walks and runs and cake-selling.
Duncan said: "Along the way we've faced our share of challenges - from Brexit and the pandemic to the evolving pressures of social care - but these experiences have shaped us, strengthened our team, and reaffirmed our commitment to delivering exceptional care within our community."
Mr Mak said: "I'm a big supporter of local independent businesses and I was delighted to visit Right At Home to see Duncan and his team and mark the 10th anniversary.
"Duncan is a regular exhibitor at my community fairs and the company has also been recognised in my Small Business & Community Awards for its contribution to dementia support.
"Social care is a very important area and I wish Duncan and his team all the best for the next 10 years."
