Local MP Alan Mak has visited Havant Garden Centre to mark its first anniversary and launch the spring season for 2026.
He was greeted by manager Mathew Muscat and toured the garden centre, meeting staff and talking with customers.
In 2025 Mr Mak cut the ribbon to officially open the former Dobbies site in Bartons Road. It has been transformed after being taken over by British Garden Centres, the UK’s largest family-owned garden centre group.
The store offers plants, sundries, garden accessories, homeware, gifts and outdoor furniture. There is also a restaurant and indoor soft play area.
Mr Mak said: "I enjoyed going back to Havant Garden Centre and seeing Mat and his team.
"The garden centre has quickly become part of the community and it's great that this family-run business is employing local people and investing in Havant."
