Local MP Alan Mak thanks care workers and listens to views on how care system can be improved

Local MP Alan Mak has met a group of care workers and listened to their views on how the care system can be improved.

He held a round table of local care workers in Havant, where the discussion included the need for care to be more joined up with the NHS.

Mr Mak said: "Thank you to local care workers who came to my meeting and everyone working in the community.

"I would like to thank them for the care they provide every day. All those in the social care sector perform a hugely important but often unsung role and it was good to get some insight into what life is like on the front line."
