Local MP Alan Mak has won Conservative MP of the Year at a prestigious Parliamentary awards ceremony.
The annual cross-party awards, hosted by the Speaker and charity Patchwork, highlight MPs who work closely with their communities, delivering excellent representation and coverage to otherwise underrepresented segments of society.
MPs are nominated by members of the public or grassroots community organisations and winners are selected by an independent panel of judges.
This is the third time Mr Mak has won - in 2017 he was Newcomer Conservative MP of the Year and in 2021 he was Conservative MP of the Year.
His community engagement includes three well-established annual fairs - the Community & Volunteering Fair, the Health & Sports Fair and the Jobs & Apprenticeships Fair.
He said: "I am delighted and consider it a great honour to win the prestigious Conservative MP of the Year award again.
"First and foremost I want to thank the residents of the Havant constituency for their continued support.
"Being a constituency-focused MP means working with local people, small businesses, charities and community groups all year round and I would like to dedicate this award to them."
