Local MP Alan Mak has welcomed news that £3.6m has been allocated for school holiday clubs in Hampshire over the next three years.
Funding from the Department for Education has secured the future of the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme across the county, including in the Havant Constituency.
HAF was started by the last Conservative Government to help lower-income families and Mr Mak continues to support the scheme.
It provides free activities and meals to children from Reception to Year 11 during the Easter, summer and Christmas school holidays.
For the first time HAF schemes will also run during February half-term in 2026, expanding the reach of the programme and offering additional support to families at a typically expensive time of year.
Hampshire County Council delivers HAF with trusted local partners through its Connect4Communities programme.
It aims to promote a healthy lifestyle and each programme provider is required to supply a nutritious meal as part of the holiday clubs.
Mr Mak, who regularly visits local HAF schemes, said: "The HAF holiday clubs, which began under the previous Conservative Government, are a great way to keep children occupied during the school holidays and I'm delighted that funding has been secured for the next three years.
"At HAF children learn, have fun, make friends and get a healthy meal too.
"I'll continue to support HAF activities in our area because I've seen how much they are valued by local children and their parents."
