Local MP Alan Mak has welcomed a successful operation carried out by Hampshire Police based in Havant to tackle anti-social behaviour on dirt-bikes around the Havant Thicket.
District Commander Habs Rahman, who is in regular contact with Alan Mak MP, oversaw the successful operation by his team.
Local residents had complained that the noise from the bikes was anti-social and disruptive to a peaceful living environment.
With new funding the police were able to purchase dirt-bikes of their own to pursue offenders. Police also seized two bikes which they believe to be stolen.

I am glad that new funding has enabled Hampshire Police to buy new bikes to pursue those responsible for anti-social behaviour around Havant Thicket. Thanks to District Commander Rahman and his team for seizing bikes that cause misery to local residents and for tackling anti-social behaviour.”
