Local MP Alan Mak has spoken at the North East Hayling Residents’ Association Winter Meeting and praised their work on behalf of local residents.
Mr Mak has regularly attended and spoken at the Association’s twice yearly meetings in the past, and praised them for their work championing local residents on a range of topics and organising popular community events such as a carol service, pantomime and pop-up pub.
Members of the community gathered to hear from NEHRA chairman Derek Bowerman and other officers. Reports were also given from the group’s treasurer as well as an update on local planning applications, where the association represents the residents at consultations and appeals.
Local MP Alan Mak said: “I’ve regularly spoken at North East Hayling Residents Association meetings and I’m delighted to support them at their first winter meeting after COVID-19. Thank you to all the officers and members for their hard work in the community including organising popular events that bring people together!”.
