Local MP Alan Mak has joined residents at street parties, events and celebrations across the Havant Constituency to mark Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Mr Mak was invited to 11 separate street parties and events in the Constituency. Street Parties across Emsworth, Hayling Island, Bedhampton, Havant, Purbrook, Stakes and Leigh Park were all very well attended by local residents keen to celebrate the occasion.

Following the bank holiday weekend, Mr Mak compiled a photo montage of all the parties across the Constituency he had attended, which he then sent to Her Majesty to show she enjoys strong support across the Havant Constituency.

Local MP Alan Mak said: “I was delighted to join residents across the Havant Constituency to mark 70 years of service by Her Majesty. Her reign exemplifies how great our United Kingdom is. God save the Queen!”

Angela Hopkins, who organised a party on Hayling Island, said: “Thank you Alan for coming and donating some to our raffle, and giving us some free Union Flags! The community has really come out for the occasion and it’s great to see so many people joining in with the celebration of Her Majesty’s reign.”

Mark and Amy, who organised a party in Emsworth, said: “We want to thank Alan Mak for attending our street party and for donating us some Union Flags. We had a great day on the green and were delighted to pay homage to Her Majesty.”
