Two carers who found work at Alan Mak’s Havant Jobs, Apprenticeships and Careers Fair have been promoted into new roles.
Mark Wilson and Becky Webb both found work with care company Right at Home Havant after visiting Alan’s Fair in 2017, and following two years with the firm both have secured a promotion.
Alan visited the pair at the company’s Havant head office to catch-up with them, and congratulate them on achieving a promotion.
He said: “It is always great to meet with residents who have found work after visiting my Jobs, Apprenticeships and Careers Fair. But in the case of Mark and Becky it’s wonderful to see them making such brilliant career progression. I look forward to welcoming many more residents to my 2019 Fair where hundreds more jobs will be on offer.”
The Havant Jobs, Apprenticeships and Careers Fair will be taking place on Friday 15 March at Havant Leisure Centre from 10am to 2pm. Admission and parking are free, residents can drop-in at any point, and stay for any length of time.
Employability workshops, provided by the National Careers Service, will be taking place. There will also be CV building workshops at 10.15am and 12.15pm, and job interview technique workshops at 11.15am and 1.15pm.
Exhibitors attending this year include Right at Home, Stagecoach, Airbus, Colt International, Superdrug, McDonald’s, Fasset, L&S Waste Management and Eaton Hydraulics.
Right at Home Havant owner Duncan Cameron said: “It was a lovely treat for us to welcome Alan to Right at Home’s Office.
“Alan has been a big supporter of Right at Home from the beginning and opened our North Street Arcade Office 18 months ago. Sadly Eileen, who I employed following last year’s Jobs Fair last year, was unable to attend. She did what all amazing Carers do, and attended an emergency care call, putting our clients and their care at the forefront of everything we do.”
