Local MP Alan Mak was one of the first customers at Hayling Island’s newest small business. Pepperelli’s Wine Lounge on Eastoke Corner is the latest venture from the well-established Pepperell family, who currently operate the popular Pepperelli’s Ice Cream parlour.
Pepperelli’s Ice Cream is a small family run business that was established on Hayling Island in 2010. They are an ice cream parlour, tea room and retro sweet shop. The family has now branched out, and launched a new wine lounge, catering for a wide range of customers from out-of-town visitors to locals looking for elegant surroundings for after-work drinks.
Mak visited the new wine bar, meeting staff and sampling some of the wine lounge’s menu. He praised the new wine lounge as a positive addition to Hayling’s economy, and said they would play a key role attracting new visitors to Eastoke Corner and the Seafront, completing other local businesses in the area such as restaurants, restaurants and gift shops.
Owner Tonia Pepperell said, “Alan is a regular customer at our ice cream parlour, and a strong supporter of local businesses. We were delighted he came to open our new wine lounge, which is already building up a loyal following. Hayling is a wonderful place to live and visit, and we hope our new wine lounge will give residents a great new venue to come to if they want a relaxed drink in elegant surroundings.”
