Local MP Alan Mak has welcomed the Government’s announcement that Oaklands Catholic School in the Havant Constituency has been selected to receive more funding to improve its buildings.
Oaklands is set to benefit from more funding from the Government’s Condition Improvement Fund, a £450million investment pot to improve school buildings, which Alan has campaigned for in Westminster.
Details about the amount of funds are confidential pending commercial tenders.
Oaklands received £1.2M in 2018 for building upgrade work.
Alan Mak said: “I’m delighted that Oaklands Catholic School will receive more Government funding to improve its buildings, on top of funding it has previously received. I regularly support funding campaigns for local schools in Westminster because I want our young people to benefit from good facilities and resources at school”.
