Local MP Alan Mak has welcomed pupils from Trosnant School in Leigh Park, Havant to the House of Commons for a question and answer session following a tour of Parliament.
The school group visited Parliament to see democracy in action, and were offered the chance to meet their MP at Parliament’s Education Centre.
Mr Mak previously visited the school in April 2022 to address students about his role, and see the work they had been doing relating to democracy.
Following the visit, Mr Mak encouraged the school to come to Parliament and see for themselves the Palace of Westminster.
Local MP Alan Mak said: “I regularly visit our local schools to support pupils, and I was pleased to welcome Trosnant School’s students to Westminster so they can see democracy in action. I encouraged them to play their part in the future through voting, campaigning and running for office!”
Cesare Galasso, a teacher at Trosnant Federated Schools, said: “Thank you to Alan Mak MP for meeting us in Parliament. The students really enjoyed their visit and were happy to quiz our local MP on local issues ranging from night lighting to the world cup!”
