Local MP Alan Mak has helped to serve roasts to elderly residents at Age Concern Hayling Island's Lunch Club.
He is a longstanding supporter and visited the Club again at Sunnyside Hall in Webb Lane, where he was greeted by Age Concern Hayling Island secretary Neil Hawkins.
Mr Mak then spent time talking to volunteers and members and helped to bring plates from the kitchen to the table. He also donated a bottle of House of Commons wine for the raffle.
The Lunch Club runs on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and offers a two-course meal to elderly residents, plus a sociable environment where new friendships are made.
Mr Mak said: "I really enjoyed visiting the Lunch Club again, chatting to members and helping to serve them their lunch.
"It was also great to meet the volunteers and thank them for all their hard work. The Lunch Club is playing an important role in combating loneliness and isolation among elderly residents on the Island and long may it continue."
