Local MP Alan Mak met Crookhorn College students at a special schools performance by The Royal Ballet.
A group of 40 students travelled to the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, London to see a special performance of Giselle by The Royal Ballet for secondary school pupils.
It was one of six school matinees presented by the Royal Ballet and Opera each season, reaching more than 10,000 pupils from schools across the UK.
These performances are at the heart of RBO's national Create and Learn programme, which widens access to creativity for more than 140,000 pupils in almost 2,000 schools and upskills thousands of teachers across England each year.
Mr Mak said: "I enjoyed meeting up with the group of students from Crookhorn College at the Royal Opera House.
"Britain is a world leader in the arts and creative industries, and it's great to see local young people showing an interest in artistic careers."
