Local MP Alan Mak has visited the Emsworth Bowling Club in the Havant Constituency for a special afternoon of bowling and a Coronation-themed party. The Club had organised the event to celebrate the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III. Alan presented the Club Chairman Sue Wood with a Union Flag.
"I was delighted to join members of the Emsworth Bowling Club to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III," said Mr Mak. "It was a great opportunity to spend time with local residents and enjoy a fun-filled afternoon of festivities."
The event was well attended with members of the club enjoying a friendly game of bowls followed by a Coronation-themed party with tea and cake. Alan addressed the members on the significance of this the first Coronation in 70 years, and led a toast to His Majesty with "God Save the King!"
"Mr Mak's visit was fantastic for our Club," said Club President Sue Wood. "We were thrilled to have him join us for our Coronation party and present us with a Union Flag. It was a wonderful occasion for all of our members."
