The Emsworth Life ONE Day Calendar 2017 was backed by local MP Alan Mak during a visit to the Blue Bell Inn.
The calendar, which is sold by the Emsworth Business Association, aims to celebrate life in the town in pictures. Every picture was chosen from ‘Emsworth Life – ONE day’, a monthly photographic competition open to everyone which captured Emsworth, its heritage, its people and its day-to-day life.
Mr Mak was at the Blue Bell Inn on Friday to give his endorsement to the calendar with publican Giles Babb, buying two copies for his Westminster and Havant offices.
All money raised from the sales of the calendars will go towards the Emsworth branch of the RNLI, Emsworth Primary School and St. James’ Primary School.
Mr Mak said: “I was delighted to get my hands on two copies of the excellent Emsworth Life ONE Day Calendar 2017. Emsworth is a wonderful community and beautiful area, and every page of the calendar shows a vibrant scene from local life. I encourage all residents to get behind the calendar, and get their own copy.”
The calendars are priced at £9 each and as well as the award winning photographs, they have a listing of community events for 2017. They will be available from Bookends, Henry Adams, the Blue Bell Inn and The Brookfield Hotel.
Giles, who is also chairman of the Emsworth Business Association, said: “It was great to welcome Alan back to the Blue Bell Inn to show him the calendar. We are pleased that Alan once again has got behind the initiative which is proving incredibly popular in the town.
“All of the money raised by the calendar goes towards great causes and keeps you up to date with a busy schedule of events in Emsworth for 2017.”
