Local MP Alan Mak has visited Citrus Flowers in Emsworth ahead of Valentine's Day to meet the staff and buy flowers ahead of Valentine's Day.

Citrus Flowers is a small, independent florist in Emsworth. Valentines’ day is one of their busiest trading periods of the year, so at the moment, business is booming. They have curated a special shop front to emphasise the special time of year for couples.

Alan Mak MP has been an active supporter of local independent businesses since he was elected, encouraging constituents to support local enterprise on occasions such as Small Business Saturday. He is also a regular customer of Citrus Flowers himself.

Owner Carli Strugnell is well known for impressive displays in her window and providing advice on flowers.

Alan Mak visited to buy flowers for his fiancee ahead of Valentine's Day. The couple are getting married this summer.

Alan Mak MP said: “Supporting small, local and independent businesses is one of my top priorities as local MP, and I am delighted that Carli and the team are doing well in the lead-up to Valentine’s Day.”

Carli Strugnell, owner of Citrus Flowers said, “Alan is a regular customer, and I’m delighted he agreed to have a photo to promote our special Valentine’s Day shop front. Supporting local small businesses is very important, and I hope local residents will back our high street shops as the economy recovers from the pandemic”
