Local MP Alan Mak has visited Front Lawn Primary Academy to recognise hard working students who were presented with his MP School Merit Awards.
The awards, that Alan presents to numerous schools across the whole Constituency, recognise students who have gone the extra mile both inside and outside of the classroom.
It comes after a challenging year for pupils who have had to adapt to home learning while schools were closed due to national restrictions.
On the day of the ceremony, the students of Front Lawn were taking part in an event to support AgeUK by dressing up as their future selves, donning beards, wigs and glasses.
Alan Mak MP said: “I was delighted to return to Front Lawn Primary Academy to present my MP School Merit Awards recognising the hard work and dedication of the pupils who won the awards. They are an inspiration to classmates and the wider school community. In an academic year made all the more challenging by Covid-19 and the need for home-learning, it was brilliant to hear how the students were able to adapt to the challenges they faced.”
