A new Toning Table Studio at Havant Leisure Centre has been opened by local MP Alan Mak.
The new Studio contains 8 modern Shapemaster exercise machines, half of which are power-assisted which will provide a great 30-minute workout session.
The new studio is targeted at those who want to take up introductory exercise but who currently may be unable to use regular gym equipment either through illness, injury or simply living sedentary lifestyles.
The main aim of the new facility is to help and encourage people to start or return to exercise and to gradually improve their activity levels over time. It is planned that the Studio will become a ‘stepping stone’ to enable people to graduate into using the main gym and enable them to enjoy a more active and long-term healthier lifestyle.
Alan Mak MP said: “I was delighted to help open the new Toning Table Studio at Havant Leisure Centre and test out the new equipment. Leading an active lifestyle is vital to staying healthy and this new studio will be an excellent resource for the whole community. Well done to Howard and his team at Horizon for their hard work encouraging exercise for all. This new equipment will be a popular addition to the already great gym.”
Horizon hope that the Toning Table Studio will provide a warm, friendly and relaxing experience for people looking to become more active in order to improve their health and wellbeing.
Howard Broad, Horizon Leisure Centres Chief Executive said “As a charity we are delighted to be able to offer this fantastic new facility to encourage those in the community currently unable to exercise for whatever reason to begin to take up regular gentle exercise and help them improve their health and fitness’’.
