Local MP Alan Mak was the guest speaker at the latest monthly meeting of Emsworth and District u3a.
He gave a talk about his work as the area’s local Member of Parliament at St James's Parish Hall in Emsworth and then took part in a Q&A session where various local and national issues were discussed.
The u3a is one of the largest membership organisations in the UK and enables mainly retired members of the community to come together to learn new skills and have fun.
It was the second time in recent weeks that Mr Mak had met members of Emsworth and District u3a after a group also went on a tour of Parliament.
Mr Mak said: "The u3a is a fantastic organisation that I've supported for many years and I enjoyed speaking to members about my work as the local MP.
"I support local residents and community groups all year round, including attending events, offering advice and campaigning on key issues."
