Local MP Alan Mak has visited Purbrook Junior School to celebrate the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III. Alan met school children, joined them for lunch, and took part in a special activity where he made a 'Coronation Cookie' with the children.
During the visit, Mr Mak had the opportunity to speak with students and staff about the importance of the historic event and how it is celebrated across the country. He also presented children on the School Improvement Committee with a Union flag to mark the occasion.
"I was delighted to visit Purbrook Junior School and celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III with the pupils," said Mr Mak. "It was a great opportunity to talk to them about the significance of this historic event and share in their excitement."
Mak's visit was warmly received by the school community, who were pleased to have the MP take part in their festivities.
