Local MP Alan Mak has called for the re-opening of Eastoke Community Centre on Hayling Island.
The centre in Wheatlands Avenue has closed suddenly, leaving local community groups with nowhere to meet.
They include the Eastoke Community Centre Table Tennis Club, whose equipment including tables is still inside the locked building.
Members have had to temporarily relocate several miles away to play at Hayling Island Community Centre.
Mr Mak met a group from the Table Tennis Club to listen to their concerns.
Now he is calling on key organisations, including Havant Borough Council, to meet and agree a way forward.
He said: "I've talked to members of the Eastoke Community Centre Table Tennis Club and completely understand why they are unhappy about losing their local venue without any warning.
"I'd like to see the centre re-opened and urge the council and any other parties involved to urgently discuss how that can be achieved."
