VOTE HERE on October 14: https://www.raildeliverygroup.com/our-services/campaigns/world-cup-of-stations.html
Local MP Alan Mak has urged people to vote for Emsworth Railway Station after it was shortlisted in the World Cup of Stations.
The station is among 48 across the country that will now compete in a series of online votes to find an overall winner.
Competition organiser the Rail Delivery Group wants passengers to celebrate their favourite stations and the fantastic businesses that operate there or nearby, enriching the local community.
A former waiting room on Platform 2 at Emsworth is now home to Queenie’s Vintage Tearoom, run by Queenie Butler-Hoskins and offering a nostalgic trip back in time to the 1950s. It becomes a Speakeasy Bar on Friday nights and even features a secret garden.
You can support Emsworth station by visiting a dedicated World Cup of Stations webpage at http://www.raildeliverygroup.com/our-services/campaigns/world-cup-of-stations.html

In the South East region, Emsworth is up against Lewes, Oxford Parkway and Hollingbourne. The winners of each region will go through to another round and then the overall champion will be announced on October 21.
Last year more than 70,000 votes were cast for the 48 shortlisted stations vying for the title, with Wemyss Bay in Scotland being declared the winner.
Mr Mak said: "Queenie's Vintage Tearoom is real step back in time and has proved to be really popular with rail users and residents. I'm delighted that Emsworth Railway Station has been shortlisted in the World Cup of Stations and that a successful local business is being highlighted in this national initiative.
"I urge everyone to vote for Emsworth Station. Let's make it officially the best station in the country!"
